As a signatory of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) the country has committed to recurrently report to the UNFCCC Secretariat through submission of such national communications. The activities within the Second National Communication are continuation and upgrade of the work done under the first and initial National Communication (2000-2003), focusing on GHG emissions, assessment of climate change impacts on vulnerable sectors, potential measures to abate increase of GHG emissions etc. The Second National Communication was adopted by the Government on18 November 2008.
