Virtually every United Nations body and specialized agency is involved to some degree in the promotion and protection of Human Rights.

In the country, the UN Human Rights and Gender Theme Group is tasked with ensuring coordination, enhanced information exchange, as well as joint planning and decision-making across the UN system in the areas of human rights and gender.

The Country has low HIV prevalence. But, behavioral studies show that those at most risk of HIV transmission engage in high-risk behaviors. For this reason, HIV prevention services need further expansion, with a focus on improved access and quality.
