About LESA
The UN/LESA in Skopje was established in January 2005, as part of the UNs effort to support spouses in expatriate assignments The Association’s aim is to help spouses to settle in while offering accompanying spouses an opportunity to continue with their professional careers and enhance their professional development. Assists in finding employment, with and outside the UN system Assists in obtaining work permits Provides information on work opportunities and family support Provides links to relevant networks and expatriate spouse groups Provides links to the Spouse HQ in Rome (UN/GESA) Facilitates participation in training opportunities LESA Responsibilities
LESA is to be headed by a spouse and driven by its members Holds regular meetings that aim to develop new strategies and provide feedback Produces Welcome Packs for new spouses Produces annual report and work plan Facilitates regular exchange with designated UN Spouse Focal Point and Spouse Association Who can become a LESA member?
