Who is in the country?
United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo UNMIK Liaison Office in Skopje Was established in Skopje in 1999 in order to address issues affecting UNMIK, facilitate cooperation between UNMIK and Macedonia, and assist the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Kosovo in his contacts with the Macedonian authorities, as stipulated in the United Nations Secretary-General's report to the Security Council of 12 July 1999. The provisions of the relevant Memorandum of Understanding came into effect on 27 February 2001.
