The UN Department of Safety and Security is responsible for providing leadership, operational support and oversight of the security management system to enable the safest and most efficient conduct of the programmes and activities of the United Nations System.

FYR Macedonia has areas in security phases declared. Therefore security clearances are required prior to traveling to/in this country.
Please be advised that all Security Clearance requests should be submitted via the online Security Clearance and Tracking System (ISECT) which can be accessed via the DSS Travel Portal ( https://dss.un.org, ), at least 7 days prior to the proposed travel.
